Sorry Dudes, I have been slacking a little. So lets get this semi-gorgeous day out with a little soul. What do you think? Now when I think Soul, I think Al Green, I think Marvin Gaye, I think of the hardest working man in show business, the late great, James Brown. But, what do you think of Soul in contemporary music? I think of The Roots, personally. Such a great band, lead by the incredibly talented lyricist Black Thoughts, and the incredible producer/percussionist ?uestlove, which by the way is the coolest name ever. Now I know they aren't exactly Soul, but I just get that same feeling when I listen to them. True artists with a message for the people, a real feeling of love coming out of the speakers. So lets start off the day with this Philly group, off of their newest album, which is amazing by the way, "How I Got Over."
